Export
Though authors, publishers and subjects can be exported we will focus on the exporting of resources, books, videos, tapes and the like. An export file must be created to include the author, publisher, and one (1) subject. Because this process can take time we have given you the option of using the last file exported. (The very first time the export is processed the program file will automatically be created.)
The date of the last export file was created is displayed. The options are to use it, click the Yes button, or create a new export file, click the No button, or to abort the process completely.

The opening screen has all of the types of files that can be the target. The choices are Flat ASCII, delimited ASCII, HTML and Microsoft Excel. The default is MS Excel. When the HTML or MS Excel options are selected the query generator is activated. This allows the results to be exactly like the query generated reports available elsewhere in the program.

Once the type of target file is selected you can select which fields you would like to export. If no fields are selected all of the fields in the resource file will be included. This can make for a very large file with a lot of data. There is also the option to save an export definition. This allows you to create a design and select the fields only once. Click on the Open button to select a previously saved export description.
The options that are available depend on the type of file selected. MS Excel has very few. However HTML has a larger number of options; including header and footer text, color of the page and of the text and more. You can actually create one or more pages of information and add it to your church web site.

By default all fields are checked. Click the button UntagAll to remove the check boxes. Scroll up and down to find the fields you want to include in the export. Select the field and double click using the left mouse button to add a check in the left column.
When you have finished selecting the fields and other options click on the Start button.
