Medical Alerts There is a member related file with any medical information that may be necessary to share with the church staff and volunteers. This was designed with the children and childcare volunteers in mind. Of course it is the child's parents who are responsible to share this information. The information can be accessed from the Family and Members or the Members Only windows by clicking the Medical Alert button. This will access the currently selected members Medical Alerts list box
It is from this window that the medical information of the currently selected member can be added, changed or deleted.
The required information is a description of the health problem, the name, contact number, and relation of the primary contact person. There should also be instructions in the note field to guide the childcare volunteer in the case of an emergency. A second contact person may be added in case the primary person can not be contacted.
A report is available that will print each members medical alert by Sunday School class. This information should be printed before the nursery or Sunday School starts. The childcare volunteers should be trained to handwrite to the current sheet any medical alerts for a new child. Any new information about an existing child or new child should be added to Easy Church Membership so the medical alert will be available for next week's class. This report has confidential information and must be handled with care.
Though the member medical alert has been designed and included for the safety of the churches children it can be used for any member.
