When adding a new composer there are some simple rules to follow that will make the composer lookup list much easier to use. Always enter the name the same way. It is recommended that the composer name be entered last, first and middle initial. But if you do decide to use first and last be consistent. Always do one or the other.
We also suggest that you make sure the name does not already exist in the list. So search the list before attempting to add what you think is a new name. Here is where being consistent pays off. If you always enter the last name first and you search by the last name you will quickly find out if that composer does exist in the list. Spelling is important. Everyone can make a typo, don't assume you are any different.
