Song Maintenance


 

To open the Maintain Songs window select Songs from the main menu bar, then click on Maintain.  The following window will open.  The default view is all songs in title order.  (All sorts may be changed by pressing and holding the Shift key and clicking the left mouse button on the column header.)  If you entered a value in the Performance Flag entry fields on the Church Information window you will see the sample songs in red, blue or black.  See section Enter Church Information for a more detailed explanation.

 

SongBrowse

 

View the general information about each song listed plus the songs performance history.  Enter filters, design queries to view specific songs.  Songs are added, changed or deleted from this window.

 

SongUpdate

 

The information for each song includes:

1. Song title,

2. artist name,

3. Category,

4. Copyright year,

5. Song key,

6. Copyright administrator id number,

7. Identification number used for the song by the copyright administrator,

8. Enter one or more themes,

9.   Enter one or more orchestra parts,

10. Select style from style list,

11. Select accompaniment from accompaniment list,

12. Enter library number,

13. Number of copies, and

14. Voice.

 

The category, key and themes are all fields used by the query designer to help you find all the songs that fit specific criteria.

 

Enter the lyrics for the song.  If there are lyrics you will be able to print a choir book of all songs for a specific performance.  See Song List for more information.
